InStyle Direct transformed two units, a studio and a two-bedroom apartment, into stunning show homes at Aspen Residences. By employing an eclectic and contemporary design approach, we enhanced flow and functionality, showcasing each space's full potential to prospective buyers. Our work not only impressed the developer but also led to additional opportunities with them.
The Challenge
The developer aimed to furnish the show homes to accelerate property sales. The challenge was to create designs that complemented the unique layouts and rose gold finishes in the kitchens without exceeding the budget. Maximising space, especially in the small studio, and making the units stand out to potential buyers were essential.
Our Approach
Maximising Budget and Space in the Studio
In the studio apartment, we focused on maximising the budget by selecting stock items for larger furniture pieces and enhancing the look with funky accessories. We wallpapered the bed area to create a cozy nook and added shelving by the kitchen for extra style and storage. This approach added character to a very small space without compromising on functionality.
Complementing Rose Gold Finishes in the Two-Bedroom
For the two-bedroom unit, the rose gold kitchen finishes inspired us to choose a design that complemented rather than clashed with them. We opted for soft pinks and warm earth tones—burnt oranges, reds, pinks, and peaches against a neutral backdrop. Bold, bespoke headboards added character and became focal points in the bedrooms. We layered the design with plenty of artworks, throw cushions, and accessories to create depth and interest while staying within budget.
Enhancing Flow and Showcasing Views
In both units, we maintained an open feel by keeping space behind the sofa in the kitchen area. Positioning the dining area by the window showcased stunning views across London, creating an ideal setting for entertaining. This layout not only enhanced flow but also helped sell a lifestyle to potential buyers, showing them how they could use their space to its full potential.
Design and Colour Scheme
Our interior designer embraced an eclectic and contemporary aesthetic, focusing on artistic and colourful designs. The rose gold finishes in the kitchens guided our cohesive colour palettes.
Studio Apartment: Vibrant oranges and navy blues added depth and energy. Wallpapering the bed area and adding funky accessories brought character to the compact space.
Two-Bedroom Apartment: Soft pinks and warm earth tones complemented the rose gold accents. Bespoke headboards and layered accessories added personality while aligning with the client’s budget.
The Outcome
The furnished show homes effectively highlighted the properties’ potential, making them more attractive to buyers. The developer was thrilled with the designs, leading to additional collaborations.
“The clients, the MD, and all people involved were impressed with the design we have done, which landed us a few more opportunities with the client,” noted our interior designer.
Key Results
Enhanced Property Appeal: The show homes showcased how to maximise space and functionality, appealing to potential buyers.

Successful Collaboration: Our ability to deliver high-impact designs within budget strengthened our relationship with the client.
