One such project was a one-bedroom apartment in Cassini, an address that provides just the right combination of luxury and convenience that investors are looking for. Discerning tenants from the worlds of finance, tech and media are their usual target rental demographic, so first impressions needed to count. Space was an issue; not surprising as this was an open-plan, one bedroom apartment in one of W12, West London’s most sought-after areas, but there was enough for us to work with.
The team realised that the Gold furniture package would go some way towards enhancing the space, but some upgrades would also help. The bedroom was transformed into a cool haven of comfort and relaxation and by using well-placed lighting, the entrance and hallway seamlessly integrated into the rest of the apartment. The major challenge, however, was the main living space. It had the large windows necessary to take full advantage of natural light, yet the atypical shape meant that it could look cluttered. In this case, designing along traditional lines would not be the best reflection of the apartment’s potential, so the team introduced shapes and forms in a way that would make the room look more expansive and inviting.
In terms of both aesthetics and ergonomics, the Gold package items were a good fit. Muted greys in the bedroom and various shades of cream in the open-plan living space created perfect backdrops for splashes of colour. These colours came in the form of cushions, artwork, and other accessories. Tables, mirrors, and lamps were selected for their curved flowing shapes and smaller than usual footprints. From commissioning to free installation, the project was completed in just one week, demonstrating InStyle’s trademark fast turnaround and excellent customer service.
The result was as emphatic as it was eye-catching. In just a few days, the Cassini apartment went from a “should-have” to a “must-have” sales proposition and is currently under offer. A ripple of interest has extended to other units which are now attracting interest from buyers, keen to invest in the area.
