Westmark Tower, West End Gate
Westmark is the tallest of the buildings at West End Gate. The state-of-the-art building with spectacular views towards the City, Regent’s Park and Hyde Park called for equally lavish interiors.
Its gently curved form soars 29 storeys high with panoramic views, and the interiors were carefully selected to match the art deco-inspired architecture. As a premium show home, Berkeley once again instilled their faith in the InStyle Direct team to deliver affordable opulence, achieved with our bespoke furniture package.
The wallpaper serves as the focal point in the lounge of this premium, 3-bed apartment. Although the striking pattern of the paper is the main focus, keeping the design in segments with neutral wall panels breaks it up, allowing the wallpaper to take centre stage without overpowering it.
The existing relationship with the developer and previously furnished units at the development meant we knew the target market’s wants, needs, and tastes very well. With previous successes in mind, we kept the base colour light and neutral, paired with vibrant, rich paprika/burnt oranges and more subtle blue accents to help lift the design. The unit received an immediate offer, proving the value of our furnishing services.
The interior designer wanted to play off the elegance of the wallpaper pattern, so the shape and structure of a few key furniture pieces followed this same style. The bench in the lounge, the master bedroom headboard, the dining table, and the display shelving are all organic fluid shapes that adopt the same curvature and structure of the wallpaper.
The subtle detailing of the statement brass chandelier reflects the elegance of the West End Gate development. The interior designer wanted to bring the luxurious vibe of the Tower into the apartment that had plenty of room for innovative ideas, measuring an impressive 1,191 ft2. In this scheme, brass and other high-end materials, such as the TV Unit, allow the same luxurious vibe to be felt in this design.
