St William came to InStyle Direct with one main goal: push the sale of the remaining units at their Clarendon development.
Having sold most of the apartments in their new development, St William had a final few remaining in Alington House and felt that a two-bedroom show flat would prove useful in pushing the final sales. All units are nearly sold as a result of the showroom installation. The developers chose InStyle Direct for our expertise and portfolio of clients with similar goals, such as Berkeley Homes, Barratt London and Taylor Wimpey.
Located in Hornsey, a leafy North London enclave, bordering Alexandra Palace, Clarendon combines contemporary comfort with access to open green spaces and speedy transport links. The properties are designed to rigorously maintained high standards, and residents enjoy close proximity to a host of top-class amenities. St William wanted a well-dressed show apartment that would serve as an additional incentive, not only assisting in the selling process but enabling buyers to see how high-quality furnishing can transform a space.
Overcoming Tight Space & Tighter Deadline
In approaching this brief, we had to weigh up two major considerations. The first one was the time frame: the developer wanted the apartment ready in under two weeks. Then, there was the size of the property which had some space constraints that would be overcome with reconsidered layout and appropriate furniture.
After consulting with St William’s Head of Sales and conducting a thorough site inspection, the InStyle Direct design team proposed our gold furniture package, which best met the challenges posed by the apartment’s dimensions. The InStyle Direct team also installed Venetian blinds to make the property as bright as possible.
Our approach involved making the best of the available space, and this is where the Gold pack comes into its own as the lightweight design of the components is tailor-made for tight corners. The problem of the living space impinging on the dining area was solved by the ingenious use of a 2.5 seat sofa as an alternative to the usual three-seater. The team also used strategically placed art to draw attention from less desirable features. The crisp, clean lines and understated elegance of the White Gold scheme gave the apartment a distinctly modern look that is versatile and adaptable.

A Seamless Process Delivers a Stunning Show Flat
The fully-furnished show flat served as an indispensable sales tool (for the limited time it was needed!). As well as time constraints, the InStyle Direct team took care to quietly furnish the apartment, taking into consideration the newborn infant in the neighbouring apartment. Interior Designer, Maggie Halsackda took particular pride in the fact that the work was completed without causing the baby (or parents!) any undue stress.
Successful Outcome for St William Property Developers
The apartments in Clarendon attract a broad spectrum of professionals looking for London properties that combine convenience with quality. Developers and landlords can be confident that with the assistance of InStyle Direct, these expectations can be achieved and maintained.
The team at Clarendon was delighted with the outcome and the smooth project coordination, essential for projects with a, particularly tight timeline.
InStyle Direct is super efficient and catered to all requests and changes. The team is very friendly and very knowledgeable on the ever-changing interior trends.
